Attend two pirate-themed events on Sept. 10 and Sept. 19, costumes are encouraged
Would you like to learn a few sea-shanties and some pirate history? Or, see a display of pirate artifacts and weaponry? Teens and tweens are invited to the Margaret E. Heggan Free Public Library on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 1:30 p.m. for a Sea Dogs Pirate Performance. Whether you’re a landlubber or a salty dog, you’ll be encouraged to sing along (and maybe participate) in the show. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
The Teen & Tween Cooking Club is back, just in time for Talk Like a Pirate Day. On Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m., make (and eat) Pirate Cannonballs. Pirate attire welcome.
These programs are open to Heggan Library cardholders in grades six through 12. Advance online or phone registration is required. Please visit www.hegganlibrary.org, or call the library at (856) 589–3334, to reserve your spot.
