Camden County Fair set for mid-Sept

The Board of Camden County Freeholders’ weekend of festivities will take place on Sept 23 and 24, featuring over 100 exhibitors and vendors.

From beer gardens to hay rides, take advantage of free admission to Camden County’s 2017 annual fair, located at 508 Lakeland Road in Gloucester Township.

Folks of all ages are welcome to sample food trucks, hop on rides, tour 15 firetrucks, play carnival games, enjoy the petting zoo, check out The Best Apple Pie Contest and more.

As families and friends partake in the medley of amusement, the fair will showcase continuous live entertainment, encompassing a scope of local talent, from high school bands to Native American Dancers.

If you are interested in taking a stab at the pie competition, follow these directions and download the forms below:

The contest is open to any amateur baker wishing to bake an apple pie. No professional bakers may enter this competition. Only apple pies will be accepted. Crumbles, Crisps Betty’s or Pan Dowdy’s will not be considered. No added fruit, but juice is acceptable. Winning pies and bakers will receive ribbons and overall clout in throughout Camden County. Artists, gardeners and craftspeople, are encouraged to enter their flairs for the fair’s 4-H Exhibit. On display the entire weekend, submitted talent will be judged, as winners will earn a blue ribbon or Visa gift card.
