Second Time’s the Charm
On Aug. 5, one year after finishing as runner-up, the New Jersey Mystics won the WFC World Series National Championship.
The team defeated the Wisconsin Bandits, 8–0, at the World Series Final in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The team features players from Medford, Tabernacle, Cinnaminson, Lumberton, Southampton, Woodbury and Pemberton.
“Going into the fall, the №1 goal was to win nationals,” head coach Rich Onorato said.
Burlington County’s First Ever Climate Change Film Festival coming Sept. 30
The Medford Religious Society of Friends have teamed up with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance to show a Climate Change film festival from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance facility at 17 Pemberton Road in Southampton.
Admission is free. Attenders may bring lunch or reserve a vegetarian lunch for $10.
Vouchers are still available for New Jersey Senior Farmer’s Market Program
Freeholder Linda Hughes is reminding residents that vouchers for the New Jersey Senior Farmer’s Market Program are still available. The program is a joint effort between the USDA and the NJ Department of Agriculture that provides low income seniors with $25 in voucher form to purchase New Jersey farmers locally grown produce.
