Burlington County’s First Ever Climate Change Film Festival coming Sept. 30

The event features a unique collaboration between the Medford Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and the Pinelands Preservation Alliance (PPA), both located in Burlington County.

The Medford Religious Society of Friends have teamed up with the Pinelands Preservation Alliance to show a Climate Change film festival from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 at the Pinelands Preservation Alliance facility at 17 Pemberton Road in Southampton.

Admission is free. Attenders may bring lunch or reserve a vegetarian lunch for $10.

“It is a first step toward building a community of concerned citizens, so we can take the next steps together,” said the Medford Religious Society of Friends. “Quakers with other faith traditions feel a spiritual obligation to be good stewards of Creation.”

“PPA is excited to collaborate with Medford Friends Meeting on the important issue of climate change,” said the Pinelands Preservation Alliance. “Addressing climate change will take the concerted effort of citizens across the nation and the world and raising awareness through film is an important step in this direction.”
