A motorcyclist was killed on Thursday night after his motorcycle struck a car on north Kings Highway in Cherry Hill.
At about 8:40 p.m. on Thursday evening, three motorcycles were traveling together northbound on North Kings Highway just past Daytona Avenue when one of the bikes collided with a 2005 Lexus ES in front of 1101 North Kings, resulting in fatal injuries to the rider. The motorcycle deflected off the car and struck one of the other motorcycles, causing that second rider to lose control and crash his bike, with minor injuries to the rider. The third motorcycle did not appear to make contact with any other vehicle.
The driver of the Lexus was treated and released from Kennedy Hospital with minor injuries. North Kings Highway was closed for several hours during the investigation.
The drivers of the motorcycles were reportedly traveling on Route 73, Route 295 and Route 70 prior to the crash. Cherry Hill Police ask that anyone who may have seen any of these vehicles or who witnessed the crash to contact the traffic safety unit at (856) 488–7820.
