Mt. Laurel resident reports being robbed by four juveniles in latest Mt. Laurel Police Report

The following reports are on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

According to Mt. Laurel Police, at approximately 2:20 a.m. on July 13, a 27-year-old Mt. laurel resident reported being robbed after he exited his vehicle on the 100 block of Willow Turn.

Police say four people described as a male juvenile who was not wearing a shirt, a male juvenile wearing a white t-shirt and two female juveniles attacked the victim.

According to police, the victim sustained facial injuries and was transported to Cooper Hospital for treatment.

Police say the victim’s wallet and cell phone were stolen but recovered in a nearby yard the following day.

According to police, it is believed that the suspects reside in the area where the attack occurred.

At 4:02 p.m. on July 20, Mt. Laurel police responded to the Shoprite on Union Mill Road for a shoplifting complaint. Officers arrested a female, age 53, of Mt. Laurel for stealing $30 worth of merchandise. She also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was released pending a court hearing after satisfying the warrant.

During the overnight hours of July 18 into July 19, four unlocked vehicles were entered. The vehicles were parked on Courtney Way and Hillside Lane. In one case nothing was stolen. In the other three items to include change and purses.

At 11:30 p.m. on July 18, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 to investigate suspicious activity. During the investigation, officers arrested a male, age 58, of Moorestown, for outstanding warrants. He was also found in possession of drug smoking pipes. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and turned over to another law enforcement agency for the warrants.

At 6:55 p.m. on July 18, an iPhone that was accidentally left on a concession stand counter was stolen.

Between 8 and 10 a.m. on July 18, someone purposely scratched a vehicle parked at 6000 Atrium Way.

At 2:47 a.m. on July 18, Mt. Laurel Police observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on Route 73 near the NJ Turnpike. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested a female, age 41, of North Wilkesboro, N.C. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

Between midnight and 11:50 a.m. on July 17, someone caused an estimated $300 in damage to two signs belonging to a business on 6th Avenue.

At 8:18 p.m. on July 16, Mt. Laurel Police conducted an investigation into a vehicle stolen from a resident on Sheffield Court. In addition to the vehicle, credit cards were stolen and fraudulently used. The investigation identified the suspect as a male, age 35, of Cinnaminson, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. At approximately 3 a.m. on July 17, the male was taken into custody while driving the stolen vehicle in Maple Shade. He was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, credit card theft and credit card fraud. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

At 2 p.m. on July 16, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a disturbance at a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73. During the investigation, officers arrested a female, age 27, of Williamstown, for several outstanding warrants. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and turned over to another law enforcement agency for the warrants.

At 9:03 a.m. on July 16, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the area of Country Club Parkway near Cypress Point Circle for an erratic driver complaint. Officers located a male, age 34, of Mt. Laurel passed out in a vehicle parked on Cypress Point Circle. The officers determined he was suffering from an opioid overdose and administered Narcan. The 34-year-old male was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. He was later charged with possession of hypodermic syringes and being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

At 1:53 a.m. on July 11, a suspect operating a white pick-up truck stole two igloo coolers from the front apron area of Wegman’s, 2 Centerton Road.

At 9:21 p.m. on July13, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the area of Union Mill Road near Kingsley Court for the report of a motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by a male, age 70, of Mt. Laurel, was traveling east on Union Mill Road when it left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Another vehicle traveling east as well then struck the victim’s vehicle. The first driver was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The exact cause of the crash could not be determined although witnesses reported heavy rain at the time of the crash.

At 9:27 p.m. on July 14, Mt. Laurel Police responded to a hotel on the 100 block of Diemer Drive for a disturbance. The investigation revealed that a guest of the hotel pointed a handgun at a group of people in the parking lot and made threatening statements. A 9mm handgun loaded with hollow point ammunition was recovered. A male, age 34, of Milford, Pa was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, aggravated assault, and possession of hollow point ammunition. He was released pending a court hearing.

At 5:37 a.m. on July 13, Mt. Laurel Police conducted a suspicious person investigation in the parking lot of Wawa, 1115 Route 73. Officers arrested a male, age 46, of Evesham. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

Between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 12, someone forced entry through the front door of a residence on the 700 block of Cypress Point Circle. A safe was stolen from the residence.

At 12:37 a.m. on July 11, Mt. Laurel Police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the park on Narberth Drive. During the investigation, a male, age 19, of Willingboro, provided a false identity to an officer in an attempt to avoid being arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and charged with hindering his own apprehension and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. He was turned over to another law enforcement agency for the warrant.

Between July 7 and July 10, a 1987 Case 580K backhoe was stolen from a construction site on the 200 block of Ark Road.

At 1:04 p.m. on July 10, an officer patrolling the parking lot of a hotel on the 1100 block of Route 73 observed a subject sitting on a curb smoking a marijuana cigarette. The officer arrested a male, age 42, of Washington D.C. He was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and released pending a court hearing.

At approximately 3 a.m. on July 9, someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence on the 600 block of South Church Street. Items inside the vehicle were moved and strewn about but nothing was reported missing.

During the overnight hours of July 8 into July 9, a wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the first block of Edinburgh Lane.

At 3:41 a.m. on July 9, Mt. Laurel Police responded to the area of Union Mill Road and Elbo Lane for the report of a vehicle that struck a curb and continued driving. Responding officers located the vehicle disabled near the intersection of Union Mill Road and Mt. Laurel Road. Officers arrested a male, age 23, of Mt. Laurel. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a court hearing.

Between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. on July 8, an unattended wallet was stolen from an employee at a hotel on the 900 block of Route 73.

At 11:35 p.m. on July 7, someone purposely damaged a mailbox on the 100 block of Willow Turn.

Between 11 and 11:30 a.m. on July 7, a Redmax Stick Edger belonging to a landscaper was stolen from the front lawn of a residence on the first block of East Oleander Drive.
