Funds help Samaritan provide care for community members coping with aging, serious illness, or grief, and to assist patients and their families live with dignity, comfort and support.
“Drive FORE! A Good Cause,” Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice’s 25th Annual Golf Tournament, recently welcomed 180 golfers to Little Mill Country Club to raise funds and awareness for Samaritan’s nonprofit services.
The tournament, sponsored by The Richardson Family Dealerships, raised more than $154,000 to help Samaritan provide care for community members coping with aging, serious illness, or grief, and to assist patients and their families live with dignity, comfort and support.
“We are so grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support for this year’s tournament,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, Samaritan president and CEO. “This generosity allows Samaritan to provide comfort, support, and dignity through our continuum of services, including hospice care, palliative medicine, bereavement support and counseling, complementary services such as massage, music, and pet therapy, and our volunteer-supported Transitions program for those not yet ready for hospice care.”
