Evesham Police say pedestrian stop leads to arrest on charges of heroin and cocaine possession

The incident began with an officer patrolling a businesses complex and trails near 401 N. Route 73 due to recent criminal activity.

The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On July 12 at 11:15 a.m., Evesham Police say an officer was patrolling the businesses complex and walking trails in the area of 401 N. Route 73 due to recent criminal activity.

While patrolling the complex, police say an officer stopped and spoke with a male who was walking in the area.

During the investigation, police say the officer determined that the male had an active criminal warrant for his arrest.

During the arrest of the subject, police say an officer allegedly found heroin and cocaine in his possession.

Arrested:

A male, age 25, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin and third-degree possession of cocaine.

Police say the male was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of bail from an unrelated criminal warrant out of the Camden City Police Department.
