Cinnaminson’s “The Bad Bees” rockin’ out toward their dream
Thirteen years ago the Bad Bees were playing their first show together, at a friend’s backyard party, covering Metallica and Black Sabbath songs as eighth graders. The band has come a long way since then, playing numerous shows in and around the Philadelphia area. Brandon King, Bryan Kelly, Jacob Barbadoro and John Melvin make up the Bad Bees, an alternative rock quartet from Cinnaminson.
Free 5K training ahead of annual Labor Day race
Are you an avid runner, or someone that is looking to get into 5K races? Looking to improve on your previous time? Make sure you check out free 5K training, starting on July 5 at 6:45 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo in Cinnaminson, NJ. Members will meet up to three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the front parking lot. The 8th annual “Rock ’n’ Roll Run Back to School” will take place on Sept. 4 at 9:15 a.m.
Summer Reading Program to help “Build a Better World”
A great way for students to put their vacation time to good use is by taking part in the Burlington County Library System’s 2017 Summer Reading Program. This year’s theme, “Build a Better World,” kicked off on June 19 and will run through Aug. 12. The eight-week program encourages children and teenagers to track their reading progress, earn fun prizes and attend many great programs at all BCLS branches before heading back to class in the fall.
Fidget Spinner Craft Day at Cinnaminson Public Library
Looking for a new event to add to your upcoming schedule? Are you between the ages of to 10 to 16? Then does the Cinnaminson Public Library have an event for you! Join Miss Kristie at the Meeting Room on July 7 at 2:00 p.m. for a fidget spinner craft workshop. Kids between 10 to 16 are invited to join us in making a fidget spinner with bearings and a 3D printed base. A 3D printer will be used at the library.
