The clerk was honored for her 36 years of service to Shamong.
Barbara Valenzano, who has been serving as Shamong Township Deputy Municipal Clerk since September of 1981 was honored at the Shamong Township meeting Tuesday night for her “nearly 36 years of unconditional service to the residents of Shamong Township upon her retirement as of July 1, 2017.”
Valenzano moved to Shamong with her husband Larry in 1977. She raised her three sons, Kenneth, Joseph and Lawerence, in the township.
