Around South Jersey

  • Wine connoisseurs will want to be in Washington Twp. this weekend for the fifth annual Washington Lake Park Wine Festival. The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The weekend will feature tons of wine, food, live music, artisan crafts and activities for kids. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $20. Any spectators under 21 are admitted for $5. Paid admission includes wine tasting and a souvenir glass.   • The 31st annual Red, White and Blueberry Festival makes its return to Hammonton High School this weekend. This year’s festival is scheduled for Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the high school, located on Old Forks Road in Hammonton. The festival includes entertainment, activities, food, crafters, classic cars, blueberry pie eating contests and more. Admission and parking are free. At the Jersey Shore

  • More than a dozen food trucks will converge on Sea Isle City this weekend for the city’s Food Truck Festival. The festival will be open, rain or shine, from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Kix-McNutley’s on 63rd Street.   • The Cape May Hops Festival will return to Physick Estate for a second year. The festival will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the estate, 1048 Washington Street in Cape May. In Philadelphia

  • Guests can grab some brews at the Philadelphia Zoo this weekend as the zoo hosts its Summer Ale Festival on Saturday. The festival will be open from 7 to 10 p.m. Brewers and food trucks will be on hand for the event. There will also be live music, amazing animals and a complimentary shuttle to 30th Street Station.   • The 28th annual Manayunk Arts Festival returns to Philadelphia this weekend. The festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday at 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday along Main Street in Manayunk. There will be more than 300 artists showcasing their talents at this year’s event. Some artists will be featured in the event’s Emerging Artists Tent at the intersection of Main and Grape Streets.
