WFS celebrates the graduation of 19 students as they now prepare for high school.
On Friday, June 9, 19 students from the eighth grade class at Westfield Friends School graduated in a beautiful ceremony held in the Westfield Friends Meetinghouse. Their families, friends and teachers all were present to wish them well as they begin their high school years.
Each graduate prepared and delivered a speech that had a special meaning to them. Topics ranged from thoughtful comments on family members, the struggle of starting over at a new school after the closure of Friends Academy in Westampton, making new friends at Westfield, learning values as well as academics, and special tributes to Westfield’s faculty.
The Class of 2017 graduates are heading off to many area high schools, including Moorestown Friends School, Westtown School, George School, St. Joseph’s Prep, Bishop Eustace Prep, Paul VI High School, Moorestown High School, and Lenape High School. We wish them all the best as they leave “This Friendly Place” after the conclusion of their elementary school years.
