Frances A. Duffner passed away on June 16 at the age of 99. She was born in Monroeville to Cleophas and Edna Rosell. At age five, she moved to Moorestown, where she lived till last year when she moved to the Shady Lane Nursing Home in Clarksboro.
Frances graduated from Moorestown High School in 1936. After graduation, she attended the Moorestown Business School. She worked for the Moorestown Visiting Nurses and was the first secretary for the Moorestown Emergency Squad. Frances was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and oldest member until her death. She also worked several years at Addressograph.
Frances and her husband were active members in many local square dance clubs. She enjoyed quilting, refinishing furniture, sewing and crocheting. Frances had the opportunity to travel to Panama, Italy and Korea.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband William W. Duffner Jr. She is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne E. Wotring (William) of Fayetteville, Louise E. Brunson (Steven) of Pittsgrove, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 22 at the First United Methodist Church on Camden Ave. in Moorestown. A viewing will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family asks that no flower donations be made and that memorial contributions be made to the Church or the charity of donor’s choice.
