Temperatures are expected to reach mid-90s early in the week.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory, in effect from June 12 at noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13.
The advisory is a result of temperatures reaching the mid-90s early this week.
Heat illness is possible with the combination of high humidity and hot temperatures. Take caution by drinking plenty of water and fluids, staying in air-conditioned rooms and out of the sun, wearing light weight and loose fitting clothing and checking in on relatives and neighbors. When possible, schedule energy-demanding activities for early morning or evening.
