Wedgwood fourth-graders become published authors

Students wrote and illustrated their own hardcover books

Pictured are Wedgwood fourth-graders in Mary Grace Parchesky’s class, displaying their fiction books that they wrote, illustrated and read to first-graders.

Thanks to funding supplied through the Washington Township Education Foundation, fourth-grade students in Mary Grace Parchesky’s class at Wedgwood Elementary School are published authors. The monies allowed the class to purchase hardcover blank books to which they transferred their original works of fiction, complete with illustrations. The class then shared their finished stories with their first-grade book buddies in Kristie Attardi’s class.
