Weekend of June 3–4
A suspicious vehicle investigation at the Wawa on Route 30 led to a double arrest. A Berlin man was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. A Lindenwold woman was charged with pssession of heroin, possession of suboxone, possession of drug paraphernalia and had several active warrants.
A suspicious vehicle stop during which a truck was chasing a female down Cross Keys Road led to a drug arrest. A Berlin man was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
A traffic stop led to a vehicle search and seizure of a semi-automatic handgun and arrest of the driver. The Middletown, Del., man was charged with unlawful possession of a handgun.
A verbal dispute on the 100 Block of the White Horse Pike led to an assault arrest. A Berlin man was arrested for simple assault.
Officers responded to the Family Dollar on Route 73 for a shoplifting. An Egg Harbor City woman as charged with shoplifting and a disorderly persons offense.
Officers responded to the area of the White Horse Pike and West Taunton Avenue for an investigation. Officers located a highly intoxicated male who had allegedly jumped out of a moving vehicle. The Berlin man was located and arrested and charged with a disorderly persons offense.
A traffic stop led to a vehicle search and arrest. A Laurel Springs man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers took a theft of a bike report in which the bike was stolen from the side of a residence on West White Horse Pike. The bike is described as a black Genesis V2100 with blue lettering. Please contact the Berlin Police Department at (856) 767–4700 with any information.
Thursday, May 31
The police department conducted a search warrant completing an investigation with the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Suburban Narcotics Unit. The warrant was executed by the Lower Camden County SRT.
Stolen bicycle
During the search of the residence, a quantity of marijuana was located along with paraphernalia and U.S. currency. The male resident was taken into custody and later released on a summons pending his court date within Camden County Superior Court.
