On Campus: Voorhees residents graduate from college, make dean’s list

Seventeen Moorestown Friends School students were inducted into the Chinese, French, and Spanish National Honor Societies on May 17. Junior Macy Brooks from Voorhees was inducted into the National Spanish Honor Society.

Michael Twist of Voorhees graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. At 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, graduates in the Class of 2017 took center stage for Elizabethtown College’s 114th Commencement.

Danielle Horbiak of Voorhees received a bachelor’s of arts degree in media studies — film and television from Marist College the weekend of May 19.

Jenelle Fuller of Voorhees will head to the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championships with Kutztown University, June 2 to 4, at Talen Energy Stadium, Philadelphia. The Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship is the largest gathering of men’s and women’s collegiate and high school rugby teams in the world and the highest profile college rugby event in the United States. Twenty-four men’s teams and 16 women’s teams will compete for the colligate championship. Portions of the event will be broadcast on NBC and NBC Sports Network.

Morgan Lorrilliere of Voorhees graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in pharmaceutical and health-care studies from University of the Sciences and was recognized at a bachelor’s degree conferment ceremony on Friday, May 19. Lorrilliere continues on in the doctor of pharmacy program. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society for First-Year Students.

Jacob Asher Forsman and Shane Michael Ryan of Voorhees have been recognized on the dean’s list at Norwich University for the spring semester.
