The public has several opportunities to learn about and meet Dr. Clarence B. Jones during his visit to Palmyra.
Dr. Clarence B. Jones, a 1949 graduate of Palmyra High School and an attorney who served as personal counsel, advisor, draft speechwriter and close friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is making his return to Palmyra this week.
The following public events will take place:
· On Tuesday, June 6 at 3 p.m., Palmyra High School have the dedication of the Dr. Clarence B. Jones Institute for Social Advocacy in the Palmyra High School auditorium.
· Also, on Tuesday, June 6 at 6 p.m., Jones will have be available to meet and greet at a dinner in the Palmyra High School cafeteria. Tickets are required and can be purchased at http://bit.ly/2nyXLEK
· On Wednesday, June 7, at 10 a.m, Mayor Michelle Arnold will present a proclamation on behalf of Borough Council and other elected officials in Palmyra Borough Hall.
· Also on Wednesday, June 7 at 6 p.m., a roundtable discussion title “Keeping the Dream Alive: Awakening Peace, Love, Unity, Prosperity and Compassion in our Communities in 2017” will take place at Palmyra High School in the auditorium.
