Cherry Hill Police and other law enforcement officials responded to the 200 block of Heritage Road on Wednesday morning after receiving a call about a possible drug overdose.
A Cherry Hill resident was found dead at home this morning after police responded to a call for a possible drug overdose.
According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded to a home on the 200 block of Heritage Road in Cherry Hill around 9:05 a.m. for a report of a possible overdose. Officers discovered the deceased at that time.
During the investigation, a detective from the Cherry Hill Police Department and a Camden County Prosecutor’s Office detective were both exposed to an unknown substance. Both were treated at the scene, sent to Cooper University Hospital for observation and released. Police say residents in the area are not in any danger.
The name of the deceased was not released. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
