The Burlington County School Counselors’ Association recently bestowed three Cherokee High School seniors with awards.

The award winners were announced at one of the BCSCA’s recent luncheons held at Braddock’s Tavern in Medford.

According to Cherokee, Avi Patel received the “I Care Award” for his commitment to community service. He received a $100 check and certificate.

In addition, Cherokee officials say Nicholas Sabatini and Alyssa Wadusky were both awarded with the Frances R. Pliskin Scholarship. According to Cherokee, the scholarship is based on an essay the students submitted describing how their school counselor influenced his/her life in a positive way. Nicholas and Alyssa both received a $500 scholarship.
