The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 30 at Veterans Memorial Park.
Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio announced that the Burlington County Freeholders will once again sponsor a Memorial Day service on Tuesday, May 30 at Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the municipal complex, on Old York Road in Burlington Township beginning at 11:30 a.m.
“The ceremony will include a presentation of wreaths to honor those who have fallen,” said Director Bruce Garganio. “If you would like to present a wreath during the ceremony, please contact the Veterans Service Office at (609) 265–5008.”
“The ceremony is held on Memorial Day — May 30 of every year as resoluted by Congress and not the last Monday of the month — to honor those who died serving their country,” concluded Garganio. “It’s important that we take time out to remember and appreciate the men and women who sacrificed everything they had in service of our nation.”
The public is encouraged to attend. For additional information contact the Veterans Service Office at (609) 265–5008.
