Letter to the Editor: Ann Diblasio

Dr. Jennifer Chuang, lifelong Moorestown resident and graduate of Moorestown Public Schools, is running for the 7th District State Assembly Seat.

We are living in a time when our national and state Republican leaders show their concern for their constituents by cutting healthcare, Medicare and social security and by removing funding and protections for students and their college loans. They have shown their disregard for our environment, evidenced by slashing the EPA budget, opening up protected lands to commercial exploitation and pushing through a deal to install a pipeline that will destroy the unique and diverse ecosystem that is the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

Dr. Chuang is running on a diverse platform that is in essence a commitment to make our state a better place. She is committed to basing policies on fact based scientific evidence, funding women’s health and reproductive services, protecting the LGBT community, universal healthcare, proper funding for our schools, protecting our environment and our residents and the boundaries between executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government.

Good government starts at home, in our state. If we can push back against and protect New Jersey from the damaging practices in our federal government we can make New Jersey a safe haven for us, our children and grandchildren.

You may find out more about Jennifer Chuang, her ideas and goals by going to Dr. Jennifer Chuang for New Jersey State Assembly 7th District on Facebook.

We have a primary election on June 6. Get informed, get out and vote.
