Senior Colin Ramage shows off his new Ford Focus!

Seneca High School’s Student Council hosted its fourth annual Prom House 110 Carranza late Friday night/Saturday morning from midnight to 6 a.m. Over 225 students attended the post-prom event meant to provide a safe, all-night event for those seniors who attended the prom and their dates. Student Council advisor and guidance counselor Erica Maira said, “Prom House 110 Carranza is an opportunity to make good decisions while building lasting memories as senior year comes to a close.” Principal Jeff Spector added, “Our students’ safety is our number one priority. This event not only provides our students with a safe, drug and alcohol free place to attend after the prom, it strengthens the message that we care about them beyond the school day.”Students watched a professional illusionist perform, participated in carnival and arcade games, and watched a magician/comedian. Students were served food and won prizes including backpacks and school supplies, Keurigs, earbuds, speakers, gift cards, an Apple watch, iPads, iMacs, TVs, and Smart TVs. The grand prize was a Ford Focus donated by Medford Ford and presented by Principal Jeff Spector. The car was won by Senior Colin Ramage.

The event’s success was made possible with local partnerships including Medford Ford, Seneca High School’s Parents’ Group, student volunteers and Seneca staff including the Student Council advisors Erica Maira, Laura Hoy, and Matt Abate.
