After attending exactly one Town Council meeting in five years, Daniela Riggins writes to complain about the “shocking disrespect” of one council member by the others.
Ms. Riggins should take a larger meeting sample. She will find that the council member she named speaks at length in opposition to almost every proposition under discussion. Although the council member frequently makes good points, they are buried in the council member’s droning monologue.
What Ms. Riggins observed was likely the frustration of the majority with the one member’s incessant negativism.
Attend more Town Council Meetings, Ms. Riggins, and participate before criticizing.
