Suspect responsible for Cinnaminson church vandalism turns himself in

The 25-year-old Philadelphia resident was intoxicated at the time of the incident.

On Friday, May 12, the male suspect responsible for the vandalism to two churches turned himself in at the Cinnaminson Police Station with his attorney.

On Sunday, May 7, Cinnaminson police were dispatched to two churches on Branch Pike for reports of criminal mischief.

At 7:13 a.m., police were called to St. Charles Church located at 2500 Branch Pike, where maintenance workers reported finding broken glass in the front door. Surveillance video shows a white male with a beard and long brown hair pulled into a bun throw a rock at the front door multiple times. The video shows that the incident occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m.

At 10:00 a.m., police were dispatched to the New Apostolic Church at the intersection of Branch Pike and Pomona Road where it was reported that a brick was thrown through a window of the church. The brick also caused damage to a pew inside the church.

The 25-year-old Philadelphia resident was intoxicated at the time of the incident and there is no indication that the crimes were motivated by any bias against a religion. The man was charged with Criminal Mischief and released pending court.
