The event will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the municipal complex, on Old York Road, in Burlington Township.
Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders Director Bruce Garganio has announced that the Burlington County Freeholders will once again sponsor a Memorial Day service on Tuesday, May 30, at Veterans Memorial Park, adjacent to the municipal complex, on Old York Road, in Burlington Township, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
“The ceremony will include a presentation of wreaths to honor those who have fallen,” Garganio said. “If you would like to present a wreath during the ceremony, please contact the Veterans Service Office at (609) 265–5008. The ceremony is held on Memorial Day — May 30 of every year as resoluted by Congress and not the last Monday of the month — to honor those who died serving their country. It’s important that we take time out to remember and appreciate the men and women who sacrificed everything they had in service of our nation.”
The public is encouraged to attend. For additional information contact the Veterans Service Office at (609) 265–5008.
