Friends to feral cats: advocacy workshop to take place at County Library

The “Learn How to Advocate for Humane Policy for Feral Cats” will take place at Burlington County Library on Wednesday, May 17.

The Friends of the Burlington County Animals Shelter are hosting a feral cat advocacy workshop with Brian Hackett, the New Jersey director for Humane Society of the United States at the Burlington County Library on Wednesday, May 17. The “Learn How to Advocate for Humane Policy for Feral Cats” workshop starts at 5:30 p.m., and attendees will learn how to advocate for humane public policy for feral cats in their town in addition to meeting other like-minded people.

Hackett is the featured speaker, and there will also be representatives from People For Animals and Pet Savers.

Attendees will also learn the components of humane and effective community-wide feral cat population control; learn how to find and approach local officials; receive advocacy materials to use in their town and learn where to find more advocacy resources and information.
