Lenape High School students win awards in photography contests

Several Lenape High School students recently competed in photography contests and were recognized for theirĀ work.

Lenape offers its congratulations to Emily Allen (grade 10), Stephanie Evans (grade 10), and Emory Alexander (gradeĀ 12).

Allen was awarded fourth place for her photo titled, ā€œGoldenā€ in the People/Animals category of the Ocean County Camera Club student photography contest.

Evans was awarded a Judgesā€™ Choice award for ā€œSheā€™s A Rainbowā€ ā€‹in the Photographers Choiceā€Šā€”ā€ŠColor category.

In the national Photographersā€™ Society of America (PSA) contest, Alexander was accepted into the Gallery Showing category at the PSA for two of her images, ā€œA Great Unfinished Symphonyā€ and ā€œCries She, with SilentĀ Lips.ā€

According to Lenape, John Townsend, the studentsā€™ teacher and school photographer, commented about the studentsā€™ awards.

ā€œOnce again, the Lenape photographers have shown their talents, but this time atā€‹ a state and national level,ā€ TownsendĀ said.
