Moorestown-based Parts Life, Inc. will be presenting its second annual Military Appreciation Day boot camp on the field at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, May 20. This year they will be partnering with Philadelphia Soul and Orange Theory Fitness.
Over 200 participants are registered and drill sergeants, platoon leaders and trainers will take the attendees through a high-intensity circuit that allows them to train like a solider while raising money and awareness for a great cause, according to Sheila Harris-Adams, vice president of government business development.
The proceeds from the boot camp will go to the Travis Manion Foundation. In 2007, 1st Lt. Travis Manion, USMC, was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. The Travis Manion Foundation empowers veterans and the families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations.
Registration is $25 online and $35 at the door. To register, visit www.philadelphiasoul.com/bootcamp. To learn more about the Travis Manion Foundation or to make a donation, visit www.travismanion.org.
