On April 29 volunteers once again helped clean a small section of Evesham’s “Gateway to the Pinelands.”
On Saturday, April 29, Evesham Township held its annual Clean Communities cleanup event at Evesham’s Black Run Preserve.
The annual event brings out volunteers to help clean a small section of Evesham’s “Gateway to the Pinelands.”
The Black Run Preserve stretches to nearly 1,300 acres of preserved land in the southern half Evesham where plants and animals native to the Pine Barrens thrive.
According to the township, this year’s cleanup at the Black Run Preserve was another success, with more than 35 volunteers from the community, the Youth Advisory Committee, ReYouth, and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve all working together to do their part and help remove debris and litter from the preserve.
According to the township,volunteers removed cement, wood, metal, and litter from the area.
The township offers its thanks for the “great job” done by all the volunteers that worked to help keep Evesham clean.
