During the investigation police say the driver was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine.
On April 21 at 10:51 a.m., the Evesham Police Department responded to the area of Route 73 and Sunbird Drive for a report of a vehicle that drove off the roadway and was submerged into a lake.
Upon police arrival, the Evesham Fire Department was already on scene and was in the process of pulling the driver out of the vehicle and onto land.
Police say the driver was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, police say the driver was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine and was charged with being under the influence of narcotics while operating his vehicle.
Arrested:
A male, age 27, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic needle. He was also charged with DUI along with additional motor vehicle violations.
