May 20 event to be held at the Flying W Airport and Resort
Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge invites South Jersey residents to its 16th Annual “Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife” fundraiser Saturday, May 20, at the Flying W Airport and Resort in Medford from 4 to 9 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a night out in support of the nonprofit and its great work saving wildlife, preserving habitat and educating children. Sometimes, wildlife survive their injuries but cannot be released back into the wild. Some of those animals will make an appearance at the event. Meet these wild ambassadors and help raise money to help additional wildlife.
Adults aged 21 and over are invited to attend and enjoy wines from around the world; samplings of whiskey, and craft beers; foods provided by premier area restaurants and caterers; and live entertainment. Attendees may also walk away with prizes from the basket raffle and live auction.
Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford is home to the busiest wildlife rehabilitation hospital in the state, resident wildlife exhibits, a Nature Center, educational programming and 3 miles of hiking trails.
“We treat about 4,600 animals per year, and we operate entirely from private funding and donations,” said Jeanne Gural, executive director. “The funds generated from ‘Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife’ help us to maintain the level of care we provide to animals in need of rehabilitation. Our work is 100 percent funded by donations and grants.”
All proceeds from “Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife” will go directly to Cedar Run. Purchase tickets online at www.CedarRun.org or by contacting Kathy Cantafio at [email protected], 856–983–3329 x 100. The event is sponsored by Canal’s Wine Unlimited and Holman Enterprises, but additional sponsorship opportunities are available; contact Cedar Run for information.
