Moorestown Friends School LS and Grade 5 Coding Teacher Liz Kahn led a hands-on workshop for students, parents, and teachers entitled “Code Like A Girl” at the #LEADLIKEAGIRL conference on April 8 at Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Princeton.
During her 45-minute workshop, Kahn showcased different resources for teaching computer science and critical thinking to young learners and shared suggestions for how each grade level could get involved. Participants had the opportunity to use Blockly, a visual block programming code editor, to complete robot challenges and online projects such as creating emojis and hacking Minecraft.
