Letter to the editor: Primary elections are approaching

Writer: Joseph Rullo should run forĀ governor

Primary elections are approaching fast, and political party leaders are scrambling to get their choice of candidate on the line. It seems the Democratic leadership already made up its mind, but the Republicans are still in a state of confusion.

In Gloucester County, for example, the leadership is backing Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno. Last October, Guadagno announced she was not going to vote for Donald Trump, a move that many saw as an endorsement for Hillary Clinton. She also announced she was distancing herself from her boss, the highest Republican figure in the state, Gov. Christie. I question her allegiance to the Republican Party while there is a GOP contender that caught my attention for manyĀ reasons.

Joseph ā€˜Rudyā€™ Rullo is a GOP candidate resembling Trump. He is not a politician and he offers a plan that will help every resident and the business community in New Jersey while draining the cesspool in Trenton. In a state that leads in all negative things, a leader such as Rullo that is not connected to the political cult is the best choice for governor on theĀ ballot.

New Jersey leads in political corruption and in exports. It exports people, jobs and taxpayersā€™ dollars. Unless Joseph ā€˜Rudyā€™ Rullo is on the ballot in November, the Republicans will not have a voice in the upcoming general election.
