The Mt. Laurel Library will be hosting a screening of foreign film ‘No’ on April 30.
The film follows advertising wizard René Saavedra, played by Gael Garcia Bernal, as he works to use all his media savvy to convince the people of Chile to vote Augusto Pinochet out of the presidential office in 1988.
This film is in Spanish with English subtitles and was released in 2012 wth a R rating and 112 minute running time.
This event will be presented by Irv Slifkin, an author and Rowan College and Temple University professor.
The screening of “No” is scheduled for April 30 and stars at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel Library. The event is free and open to members of the public ages 18 and older.
