Obituary: Constance Hanson

Moorestown resident Constance “Connie” Hanson passed away on April 9 at age 96.

Hanson was born in Glen Rock and during the war, had worked for the Sperry Co. making gun sights. After her marriage, she and her husband opened the Village Gift Shop in Madison, which they ran for 40 years. Upon retiring, Hanson and her husband moved to Shohola, Pa. and then to Citrus Springs, Fl., where she enjoyed golfing, making a hole in one on her 80th birthday.

Hanson also enjoyed bingo, cards and volunteering at the local library. The family expresses their thanks to the staff at Brandywine Senior Living at Moorestown Estates for their care and compassion.

Hanson is wife of the late Gordon, mother of Patricia (Chet) Dawson and Peter (Annette) Hanson, grandmother of Bradley (Jess) Dawson, Kyle (Missy) Dawson, Amy Hanson and James Hanson and great grandmother of Max, Sawyer, Cole, and Olivia Dawson.

Service and interment will be held privately in Milford, Pa. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1865 Harrison Ave, Camden, NJ 08105.
