Boys and girls entering third grade through eighth grade can participate starting June 26.
For kids interested in the performance or technical aspects of theatre, this program provides arts enrichment in a safe environment, culminating in a full-scale theatrical production. Participants are placed in age-appropriate groups supervised by high school and college-age counselors under the direction of adult professionals.
The company offers two different programs. Boys and girls entering third grade through eighth grade as of September 2017 can join the performance program. Participants spend half the day in rehearsal and half the day in interactive workshops on theatre-related topics taught by local experts and program staff.
Boys and girls entering seventh grade through tenth grade as of September 17 can enter the tech theatre program. Participants learn about the technical support on stage, such as lighting, sound, sets and props.
