Organizers hope the forum will increase awareness on dangers of substance abuse and recovery options.
Burlington County Freeholder Linda Hughes has announced that the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders has partnered with Ashley Addiction Treatment to bring their expertise and addiction educational programs to the residents of Burlington County at a free alcohol and drug addiction community forum.
“We are excited to be partnering with Ashley Addiction Treatment, to enlist their expertise and support in the fight against addiction,” Freeholder Linda Hughes said. “Ashley Addiction Treatment boasts an impressive array of professionals including medical doctors, psychologists, registered nurses, addiction counselors and specialized clinicians.”
The forum will be held on Thursday, April 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Burlington County Library Main Branch located at 5 Pioneer Blvd. in Westampton.
“In addition, experts will be on hand to discuss important topics such as how to tell if a loved one is using, signs and symptoms of substance abuse, addiction in adults verse young people, how our children are at risk, when and how to ask for help, what people can do to help friends or family members who are struggling, and what programs are available for addicts and their families,” Hughes said. “There will also be opportunities for residents to have their specific questions answered.”
