Shamong School District looks to use bond for repairs. Voting begins at 8 a.m.
The Shamong School District Referendum is scheduled for tomorrow night. The original day of the vote was rescheduled due to Winter Storm Stella. The Superior Court of New Jersey in Burlington County granted the Shamong Township Board of Education “emergent relief” as a result of impending extreme weather conditions. The district is looking to make improvements and repairs on district properties. If the referendum passes, residents who have a home assessed at $250,000 can expect a tax increase of $126.98 or $10.58 a month. Voting for the referendum will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Indian Mills Memorial School.
