Temple Beth Sholom to explore Newark’s Jewish heritage and local history on April 23

The daylong trip is open to all members of the community and will explore a number of different sites in the city.

Temple Beth Sholom Hazak will explore Newark’s Jewish heritage and local history on a trip Sunday, April 23.

The daylong tour leaves from Temple Beth Sholom at 8 a.m. and returns around 6 p.m. Trip highlights will include:

- Advertisement -
  • A guided tour of Ahavas Shalom
  • A guided tour of Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, the fifth largest cathedral in North America
  • A docent-led tour of the Newark Museum
  • Lunch
  • A bus your of Newark including the Cherry Blossom Festival in Branch Brook Park, Weequahic and Philip Roth’s House

The trip is open to all and will be filled in order of receipt of payment. The price of the trip is $80 and includes bus, guides, lunch, entrance fees, taxes and gratuities.
