Burlington County Freeholder Linda Hughes has announced that the Burlington County Freeholders are seeking volunteers to participate in the first of two county park clean-up days scheduled to take place during March and April.
“Keeping Burlington County clean is an ongoing effort,” Hughes said. “Our community has come together in the past to make these events successful and we look forward to seeing everyone this year. The county and the environment appreciate all the hard work our residents put in to improve our communities.”
The first clean-up day is scheduled for Saturday, March 25, from 9 a.m. until noon at Pennington Park & Newton’s Landing Trail, located at 801 Creek Road in Delanco.
The second is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. until noon at Amico Island Park, located at 81 Norman Avenue in Delran. Both events are rain or shine.
“Individuals, groups, and organizations are welcome to join. Bags, gloves, and grabbers will be provided to all volunteers along with light refreshments and water to refill your reusable water bottle,” Hughes said. “A free shopping tote will be given to all volunteers as well.”
Participants younger than age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. To register, email [email protected] and state whether or not a letter documenting hours is needed for community service.
