Kenneth Jacobson, Deputy National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, will speak on “Responding to Anti-Semitism Today” Thursday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Congregation Beth El. Jacobson’s remarks come in the wake of more than 100 bomb threats that have targeted Jewish Community Centers across the United States, including Cherry Hill’s Katz JCC on Feb. 27.
His visit also follows two major desecrations of Jewish cemeteries: the vandalism of 100 gravestones in Philadelphia’s Mount Carmel Cemetery discovered on Feb. 26 and a prior attack in the St. Louis area.
Kenneth Jacobson is the ADL’s second-ranking official and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the formulation of policy and its implementation. Previously, he served as Senior Associate National Director, responsible for supervision of and overall strategy for both International Affairs and Interfaith Affairs, as well as the senior adviser on issues both domestic and international.
Congregation Beth El is located at 8000 Main Street, Voorhees.
