In the form of a poem, the writer discusses credibility in media
When it all started, I can’t really say
But the death of some news media is nearing today.
From embellished reporting, to under reporting, to no reporting
The news media has been proven to have agendas that are clearly distorting
Freedom of the press is what makes democracy thrive
But that freedom is wasted when honest news reporting dies.
The news media must investigate and report all, and only the facts
These facts must not be manipulated to attack another or cover anyone’s back.
Our country’s not perfect, it still has flaws
But what the United States stands for, versus the world, we stand tall
If we are to sustain the greatest nation the world has ever known
Then the news media must be precise and unbiased, their integrity they always must hone.
