Cherokee High School holds ‘Read Across America’ event for Evesham’s first-grade students

Future chiefs participated in numerous activities throughout the day and read books with high school students during their English classes.

Cherokee High School recently hosted Evesham Township first grade students for the annual “Read Across America” campaign.

Cherokee cheerleaders welcomed the students off of the buses and the Jazz Band serenaded them as they entered the hallways.

Van Zant Elementary School first grade student Landon Hackney stands with The Cat in the Hat played by Cherokee High School senior Daniel Alexy.

The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 were also there to get the festivities started.
