Yi will perform classics written by Mozart, Chopin, Brahms and more.
Music at Bunker Hill presents pianist Kwan Yi in a performance of fantasies written by Mozart, Chopin, and Brahms, and Études 1, 5, 6 and 11 by Debussy on March 12, at 3 p.m. Yi has performed in great halls around the world, collaborating with artists including violinist Itzhak Perlman and violist Roberto Diaz, and as a soloist with Russian National Orchestra and Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Yi is a graduate of the Curtis Institute, Juilliard School and the Peabody Institute where he worked with Leon Fleisher and Robert McDonald. He has also attended the Steans Institute at Ravinia Festival. He is assistant professor of music at Radford University.
