Marlton Elementary families give back with ‘Cozies for Chemo Night’

Families produced more than 50 blankets throughout the evening for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

On Feb. 7, Marlton Elementary School held its second “Community Give Back” event of the year.

Students and their families partnered with Cherokee High School National Honor Society volunteers to make fleece blankets for local individuals battling cancer.

From left to right, the Malatino sisters of Marlton, N.J., Ava (9th grade), Bella (7th grade) and Olivia (3rd grade) work together to make a blanket.

The nonprofit Cozies for Chemo, started by Mt. Laurel resident Meghan Vizzard, was set to then distribute the blankets to patients.
