Council signs off on Swedes Run Dog Park signage

Last September, Moorestown Council unanimously approved an ordinance to begin construction of the Swedes Run Dog Park last fall. More than four months later, council is one step closer to finalizing this construction as it approved proposed signage for the space its meeting this week.

Friends Enrichment Program celebrates 20th Anniversary

The Friends Enrichment Program (FEP) of Moorestown is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Created in the spring of 2017, it has since issued enrichment scholarships to 390 underserved, financially disadvantaged Moorestown children, including many who received scholarships year after year. To date, scholarship costs have totaled $209, 960.

Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio recently announced that 2016 was a record-breaking year for adoptions and rescues at the Burlington County Animal Shelter. In total, 2,751 animals were adopted or rescued.

Community to host Cupid’s Chase 5K

On Saturday morning, Feb. 11, people across 32 cities in 9 states will participate in the 9th annual Cupid’s Chase 5K run, presented by Community Options, Inc. A race in Moorestown has been added to this year’s annual event. The run will take place at Strawbridge Lake, and runners will enjoy a certified course along lake.
