The following information was provided by the Medford Township Police Department.
On Monday, Jan. 23 at 10:21 a.m. the Medford Township Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of South Main Street for a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, police units located a Honda Accord on its side with the driver, Olivia Wheaton, still inside of the vehicle. The Medford Fire Department later removed Wheaton from the vehicle and she was turned over to Medford EMS and Virtua Paramedics for a hand injury. The police investigation revealed that the vehicle was northbound on South Main Street when Wheaton lost control of her vehicle and struck the curb. The vehicle then went over the curb, struck a tree, a retention wall, and the front steps and porch of a residence. The residence was deemed safe to be occupied once the vehicle was removed. The accident is still under investigation.
