Community joins for Martin Luther King Jr. Day service event at Mt. Laurel’s Adath Emanu-El

This Martin Luther King Jr. Day marked The Sisterhood of Adath Emanu-El’s third annual “Day of Tikkun Olam,” with about 200 volunteers packing the synagogue for a few hours to complete 19 service projects benefiting 13 charities. Rowan College at Burlington County welcomes Mt. Laurel resident as new board trustee

The Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) Board of Trustees recently welcomed its newest member, Renee C. Liciaga, of Mt. Laurel, at its first meeting of 2017. Liciaga, who is active in the local education community, a free-lance choreographer and a veteran Broadway performer, was appointed by Gov. Christie.

Free tax help through tax season by appointment at Mt. Laurel Library starting Feb. 3

The Mt. Laurel Library has announced, that beginning Friday, Feb. 3, and continuing through tax season, volunteers from the AARP will be on hand at the Mt. Laurel Library to provide free tax return help by appointment. AARP volunteers will be at the library Fridays, Feb. 3 through April 7, from 9:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.

Lenape Regional BOE sees additional time from new bell schedule benefit students and staff

Lenape Regional High School District Superintendent Carol Birnbohm used the latest LRHSD BOE meeting to detail ways students and staff have been using additional free time granted from their new bell schedule during common planning time and community lunch and learn. Birnbohm said students and staff have been able to learn more and get more done.
