The program is scheduled to begin with the 2017–2018 school year.
The Moorestown Township Public School District Board of Education has approved the implementation of a Tuition Program aimed at providing the district with an alternative source of funding. The program is scheduled to begin with the 2017–2018 school year and will accept students in K-12th grade.
Prospective tuition students will go through an application interview process prior to acceptance. Cost for the 2017–2018 Tuition Program ranges from $13,029 for Kindergarten to $15,681 for 9th through 12th grades. Along with revenue generation, the Tuition Program also looks to increase the diversity of students outside of the community.
Superintendent, Dr. Scott McCartney, stated, “Revenue generated from the Tuition Program will allow the District to preserve the high level of staff and programs, to which students and parents have become accustomed. As local and state resources are drained by budget constraints, the District looks to find creative ways to increase revenue while also maintaining Moorestown pride in its schools and programs.”
